Euro 2012 is viewed as an abject failure but if I remember England was decent… won their group which included Sweden and France, then got outplayed by Italy yes but managed to reach a penalty shootout at 0-0, defended well and had a good mentality. When were the English supposed to outclass Italy on the ball anyway?
